Synopsis:

A springboard dance production by Marcel Leemann and Nicolas Streit With graduates and trainees of dance training from Europe and voices from all over the world. The second springboard production, in year 2 of the Corona crisis. Eleven young dancers, sent by Hypnos - the ancient Greek god of sleep - whir out into the world and explore each other: What dreams are we dreaming in this pandemic in-between world?

Or is everyone just lying awake?

Ancient poetry and the performers' own texts will mix with voices of young people who are often not heard here, from areas that are in danger of being forgotten - and where the political or humanitarian situation has worsened even further due to COVID. HYPNOS is an attempt to find a way to deal with a complex and absurd today, thanks to some divine help and in exchange with very present-day inhabitants of the earth. On the ancient foil, the young dancers dream of a present full of contradictions and absurdities. Dancing, telling, singing about a surreal reality.
